The Public Nature of the Liturgy
Born 1967 in Madrid, with both Spanish and French citizenship, Fr. Charbel began his monastic life in Le Barroux (France) in 1985 and took his solemn vows 1988. He was ordained to the priesthood in 1994. In the monastery he has has various offices, including Assistant Master of Novices, Teacher of Liturgy, Master of Students, and Master of Ceremonies. In 2002 he completed a Licence in Sacred Liturgy at the Pontifical Liturgical Institute of Sant’Anselmo in Rome. He is in charge of the Editions Ste Madeleine. Fr Charbel was one of the invited speakers at the 2001 liturgical conference convened by Joseph Cardinal Ratzinger at the Abbey of Fontgombault.
